Desktop-grade ES9038PRO DAC chip

The M15S takes up the full ES9038PRO chip with its eight independent converters, usually reserved for desktop equipment. Each channel draws on four converters in parallel for a fully differential output. Two OPA926 amplifiers and two NDK femtosecond crystal oscillators round out the audio architecture.

Dual power and desktop mode

Inherited from the M17 and the Q7, desktop mode lets the M15S run without its battery when it is connected to a USB fast charger, which spares the cell. Five gain levels are offered, and the balanced output delivers up to 1200 mW + 1200 mW into 32 Ohm, enough to drive in-ear monitors as well as demanding headphones.

Android 10, six listening modes

The M15S pairs a Qualcomm Snapdragon 660 processor with Android 10 so that streaming apps can be installed freely. Six operating modes are available: pure music, Android, USB DAC, Bluetooth receiver, AirPlay and Roon Ready. The 5.5-inch touchscreen (1440 x 720) makes browsing and playback easier.

Full connectivity and two-way Bluetooth

The player gathers a 3.5 mm single-ended headphone output and 2.5 mm and 4.4 mm balanced outputs, shared with the line and coaxial outputs. Dual-band 2.4/5 GHz Wi-Fi supports DLNA and AirPlay, while two-way Bluetooth 5.0 handles LDAC, LHDC and aptX Adaptive. The chassis measures 140 x 80 x 18.9 mm for 345 g.
