Hybrid configuration

The FiiO FH11 is a wired in-ear monitor built on a hybrid configuration. A 10 mm dynamic driver with a carbon diaphragm handles the bass and the midrange, while a custom balanced armature carries the treble. Lighter than aluminium or beryllium, the carbon diaphragm reacts quickly to transients while keeping distortion in check.

Three-chamber acoustic architecture

The rear of each earpiece is split into three acoustic chambers fitted with a damping control system. Air pressure variations between the chambers no longer interfere with one another, which lowers the distortion of each driver. A C-shaped acoustic duct reinforces the bass by lowering the resonant frequency, for firmer low notes.

Chassis and ergonomics

The shell of the FH11 is made of die-cast zinc alloy, polished then electroplated for a careful finish. Its shape, drawn from the concha, follows the outer ear and forms a triangular support that keeps the earpiece in place. Each earpiece weighs only around 10 g, cable excluded.

Cable and certification

The FH11 uses a recessed detachable 0.78 mm 2-pin cable, terminated by a gold-plated 3.5 mm jack and easy to replace as listening habits change. The cable gathers four strands of oxygen-free copper wire over a length of around 1.2 m. Hi-Res Audio certified by the JAS and the CEA, the FH11 covers a response from 20 Hz to 40 kHz for a faithful presentation.
