CD and Network Console

The R710 brings a slot-loading CD player, a network receiver and an amplifier together in one cabinet. It plays audio CDs and CD-Rs, and receives Spotify Connect, TIDAL Connect, Qobuz Connect, Apple AirPlay and Google Cast. Internet radio and UPnP playback from a server on the network complete the sources. Bluetooth 5.1 accepts SBC, AAC and aptX HD, and can also send to a wireless headphone.

Two Times 200 Watts

The Class D output stage delivers 2 x 200 W into 4 ohms at 0.01 % total harmonic distortion. It runs from a dedicated switch-mode supply whose rails are matched to the motherboard and the digital amplifiers. Bandwidth covers 22 Hz to 22 kHz at +0/-3 dB.

Full Wired Connectivity

The HDMI ARC/eARC input takes television sound and the optical input accepts PCM up to 24-bit 96 kHz. A moving magnet phono stage lets a turntable connect directly, and a subwoofer output extends the bass. Added to these are an RCA line input, a switchable line output, a 3.5 mm headphone socket and a USB-C port. Burr-Brown converters handle files up to 32-bit 192 kHz.

Display and Remote

The 6.8-inch colour TFT shows artwork and text, and dims according to ambient light. The rechargeable RotoDial remote mirrors the console's touch controls. Eight daily alarms, twenty presets, bass and treble adjustment over plus or minus 6 dB and a switchable loudness contour complete the set. The cabinet measures 375 mm wide by 125 mm high and weighs 6.6 kg.
