The Deep Ceramic Composite dome tweeter of 25 mm is mounted within an Acoustic Lens waveguide shared across the entire Radia range — a design developed over more than twenty years of ARCAM and HARMAN research. This waveguide broadens the horizontal dispersion and improves phase alignment between the tweeter and woofer, stabilizing the stereo image off-axis. Frequency response extends to 40 kHz, well beyond the audible range, without coloration in the useful band.
The 130 mm Micro Ceramic Composite woofer sits in a molded aluminum basket with a patented geometry, designed to maximize ventilation, reduce moving mass, and increase rigidity. The inverted suspension and surround hide all fixings for a clean, screw-free front baffle. Frequency response extends down to 54 Hz, properly loaded by the rear port. A sensitivity of 85 dB at 2.83 V/1 m allows pairing with amplifiers as low as 15 W.
When paired with an ARCAM SA35, SA45, or any Radia AV amplifier, the R15 speakers benefit from AEQ (Anechoic EQ): a model-specific anechoic equalization is automatically engaged, compensating for sensitivity variations measured in an anechoic chamber. The result is a subtle but targeted correction that maximizes reproduction accuracy without affecting tonal character. The 2-way crossover is tuned at 1.8 kHz with components selected for phase coherence.
The enclosure is clad in black natural walnut veneer, stiffened by an internal cross-bracing to minimize cabinet resonances. The grille attaches magnetically with no visible fasteners on the front panel — a clean finish that integrates seamlessly into a refined interior. The R15 is sold as a matched pair, supplied with all necessary cabling, and can be placed on a shelf or on the optional solid aluminum stands provided separately by ARCAM.
