The FiiO K11 R2R is a desktop DAC and headphone amplifier built around an R2R resistor-ladder converter developed by FiiO. This fully differential 24-bit R2R DAC features four channels, totaling 192 thin-film resistors with 0.1% precision and low thermal drift (30 ppm). Its fully differential architecture reduces noise and harmonics, resulting in a darker background and a rich, charming sound signature.
The K11 R2R offers two listening modes: NOS (no oversampling), which preserves the original sample rate, and OS (global oversampling at 384 kHz) for a more refined reproduction. It decodes PCM up to 384 kHz/32-bit and DSD256. Its dedicated audio circuit routes the signal from the USB processor and an FPGA to the R2R DAC, then to OPA1642 operational amplifiers for filtering and conversion.
The SGM8262 output stage delivers up to 1,300 mW + 1,300 mW into 32 ohms in balanced mode, across three gain levels with independent volume curves. The NJW1195A four-channel electronic volume control ensures precise adjustments with low distortion. Connectivity includes an unbalanced 6.35 mm headphone jack, a balanced 4.4 mm jack, and an RCA line output, all controlled by a multifunction knob (PO/PRE/LO modes).
The K11 R2R relies on a multi-rail power supply (17 LDO regulators and 2 DC-DC converters) combined with an external 12 V power supply, and on Beryl solid-state capacitors with very low ESR. An LCD screen displays the frequency, volume, gain, and output mode, while RGB lighting on the logo indicates the sampling rate. Protective features (DC current protection, smart standby, thermal management) ensure safe operation. Available in black and silver.
