Carbon fibre and zebrawood

The headband and cups lean heavily on carbon fibre. The outer grille is cut from West African zebrawood, its openings following the position of the magnets behind the 106 mm planar driver developed by FiiO, whose one-micron PET diaphragm carries a coating of 24-carat gold and pure silver. The three-metre cable is cryogenically treated 6N monocrystalline copper and terminates in a 4.4 mm balanced plug; two adapters, four-pin XLR and 6.3 mm, come with it.

Cable and adapters

The detachable cable is three metres long and ends in a 4.4 mm balanced plug. It is made of cryogenically treated 6N monocrystalline copper. Two adapters come with it, a four-pin XLR and a 6.3 mm, to connect it to a balanced amplifier as well as to a standard headphone output.

Two pairs of earpads

Without its cable, the headphone weighs 427 grams. It ships with two pairs of earpads: lambskin, fitted at the factory, and velour, more breathable. A carrying case rounds out the set and protects the headphone away from home.

Twenty-five ohms

Impedance sits at 25 ohms for a sensitivity of 94 dB per milliwatt at 1 kHz, or 110 dB per volt RMS. The stated bandwidth runs from 5 Hz to 40 kHz and the headphone is Hi-Res Audio certified by the JAS and the CEA. It weighs 427 grams without the cable and arrives with two pairs of earpads, lambskin fitted from the factory and a more breathable velour set, plus a carrying case.
