The headband and earcups make generous use of carbon fibre. The outer grille is cut from West African zebrawood, its openings following the position of the magnets. FiiO developed the 106 mm planar driver itself; its one-micron PET diaphragm receives a deposit of 24-carat gold and pure silver.
The detachable cable is three metres long and ends in a 4.4 mm balanced plug. It is made of cryogenically treated 6N monocrystalline copper. Two adapters come with it, a four-pin XLR and a 6.3 mm, to connect it to a balanced amplifier as well as to a standard headphone output.
Without its cable, the headphone weighs 427 grams. It ships with two pairs of earpads: lambskin, fitted at the factory, and velour, more breathable. A carrying case rounds out the set and protects the headphone away from home.
Impedance is 25 ohms with a sensitivity of 94 dB per milliwatt at 1 kHz, or 110 dB per volt RMS. The stated frequency response runs from 5 Hz to 40 kHz. The headphones are Hi-Res Audio certified by the JAS and the CEA.
