The KA11 measures 44.5 x 9.7 x 10.5 mm and weighs 8.5 grams, in an aluminium-magnesium alloy shell. The USB-C cable is captive and 65.5 mm long. There is no battery and no switch: the dongle draws its power from whatever it is plugged into. At the far end, the 3.5 mm socket takes single-ended earphones and headphones.
The converter is a Cirrus Logic CS43131, backed by an SGM8262 operational amplifier. The pair accepts up to 384 kHz at 32-bit as well as DSD256, and the KA11 is Hi-Res Audio certified. The circuit board is immersion gold-plated and the conductors are palladium-plated oxygen-free copper.
Into 16 ohms the output delivers 245 mW per channel; 200 mW into 32 ohms and 22 mW into 300 ohms. The stated signal-to-noise ratio reaches 125 dB into 32 ohms, for a noise floor below 1.7 microvolts. Output impedance stays under 0.7 ohm and distortion under 0.0006%. A UAC 1.0 mode allows the dongle to run from a games console, alongside phones and computers on Android, Windows or macOS.
