Two 75 mm NS+ full-range drivers are powered by a 30 W rated amplifier. The cabinet is a double bass reflex design, and the typical in-room response extends from 50 Hz to 20 kHz. Bass and treble adjust from -6 dB to +6 dB, with switchable loudness and 3D Audio modes. A mono RCA subwoofer output lets you add the Ruark RS1, which the manufacturer recommends.
Internet radio and DAB, DAB+ and FM reception with RDS are built in. Spotify Connect, Deezer and Amazon Music run over Wi-Fi, and a podcast source rounds out the list. Bluetooth 5.2 (SBC codec) streams music from a phone. The Oktiv app, on iOS and Android, controls everything, and updates are made over Wi-Fi, LAN or USB.
A slot-loading CD player reads CD-DA and CD-R discs. It also accepts WAV 16-bit/44.1 kHz, MP3, WMA and AAC files up to 320 kb/s. The optical input takes PCM up to 24-bit/96 kHz, the stereo RCA line input goes up to 2.3 Vrms, and a 3.5 mm jack serves headphones. The USB-C port plays MP3 files from a FAT32 stick.
The cabinet comes in a Rich Walnut finish with a fabric grille. The unit measures 135 × 420 × 205 mm and weighs 5.2 kg. The OLED display adjusts its own brightness, and the RotoDial controller handles the settings. Eight presets per mode, two daily alarms and an infrared remote complete the unit.
