On this R410, the cabinet and the grille are both in Fused Walnut. They are made of sustainable woods, joined and then reconstituted into a material close to slow-growth hardwoods. The unit measures 560 mm wide, 290 mm deep and 132 mm high, and weighs 9.5 kg.
Two 20 mm silk dome tweeters handle the treble, while two 100 mm NS+ drivers cover bass and midrange. The dual bass-reflex cabinet is tuned for these NS+ drivers, and a fully active Class D amplifier delivers 120 W in total. Typical in-room response extends from 40 Hz to 22 kHz. Bass and treble can be adjusted from -6 dB to +6 dB, and Stereo+ mode can be switched on when wanted.
Spotify Connect, TIDAL Connect and Qobuz Connect are built in, along with Apple AirPlay and Google Cast. Radio covers internet, DAB/DAB+ and FM with RDS. For multiroom, the R410 joins other AirPlay and Google Cast speakers, including Ruark's R610 and R810. The Burr-Brown DAC handles FLAC, AIFF, ALAC and WAV files up to 32-bit/192 kHz.
An MM phono input with adjustable gain of 2 to 7 mV takes a turntable. The HDMI port connects the TV via ARC or eARC. A stereo RCA line input, an optical input up to 24-bit/96 kHz and an RCA subwoofer output complete the set. The optional R-CD100 player adds CD playback.
