The HE400se pairs a single-ended planar magnetic driver with an open-back design. The sound image gains in precision and naturalness. The headphones cover 20 Hz to 20 kHz.
With 91 dB sensitivity and 25 ohms, the HE400se runs directly from a smartphone, a tablet or a high-resolution player. It suits a living-room amplifier just as well. The supplied 3.5 to 6.3 mm adapter covers that second use.
The headband spreads the 390 g of the headphones evenly over the head. The angled pads follow the shape of the head and let air circulate. The headphones stay cool even in a warm room.
The open-back design makes the HE400se best suited to quiet places. In return, a doorbell or a call remains audible while listening. The 1.5 m cable plugs into two 3.5 mm sockets on the earcups.
