With 96 dB sensitivity and 35 ohms, the HE1000se works from a hi-fi system as well as from a portable player. Its ultra-thin diaphragm and neodymium magnets react quickly. Frequency response runs from 8 Hz to 65 kHz.
The Stealth Magnet design lets the sound wave pass through the magnets without creating interference. Driver covers patented by HiFiMan protect the diaphragm and block unwanted reflections. The soundstage stays wide and open.
Each earcup is framed by an ebony ring cut from a single piece. The leather headband adjusts to every head size. The asymmetric pads follow the shape of the ear and make the 440 g easy to forget.
Three detachable cables come with the headphones: a 3 m 6.3 mm jack, a 1.5 m 3.5 mm jack and a 3 m 4-pin XLR. They combine crystalline OCC copper and silver-plated wire under a clear jacket. A faux leather case is provided for storage.
