The second-generation Liric keeps the design of the first model and dresses its ear cups in Macassar ebony, a dense, deep brown wood streaked with golden veins. Metal, leather and wood make up a 427 g closed-back over-ear headphone that resists shock, wear and oxidation. Its tuning sits between a balanced and a warm profile.
The Rinaro Isodynamic Hybrid Array MZ4 driver, assembled and tested by hand, combines a 0.08 g diaphragm with an active area of 3507 mm². The QWRM mask, licensed from Dan Clark Audio, attenuates peaks above 7 kHz for less fatiguing listening. The Phase-X system improves ambience and spatial imaging, often limited on a closed-back headphone.
The ear pads now attach magnetically and come off in one move for cleaning or replacement. The pressure equalisation system regulates the pressure inside the cup and smooths the transition between bass and lower midrange. With 61 Ω and 100 dB SPL/mW, the headphone covers 4 Hz to 92 kHz.
The hand-braided Furukawa PCUHD copper cable, 1.3 m long, ends in a 4.4 mm jack suited to most portable headphone amplifiers. A second 3 m soft TPE cable with a 3.5 mm jack is for listening at home. A PU leather pouch, 6.3 mm and airplane adapters and a velvet-lined EVA case are included.
