Headphone and amplifier system

The Jade II System brings together an open-back electrostatic headphone and the amplifier built to drive it. Its nanometre-thin diaphragm and open design give a wide stage where voices and instruments are placed with precision. Stated response extends from 7 Hz to 90 kHz.

Nanotech diaphragm

The Nanotech driver uses a nanoparticle-coated diaphragm for minimal distortion and very short response times. A honeycomb stainless steel frame limits unwanted vibrations. Ultra-thin dust covers stop dust from settling and causing distortion. At 365 g the headphone stays light, and its leather headband adjusts to the size of the head.

Dedicated electrostatic amplifier

The black aluminium amplifier relies on two OPA2107AO operational amplifiers and a circuit board laid out to reduce interference. On the front, a power switch, a 21-step volume control and two 5-pin electrostatic outputs let two people listen at once. At the back, it accepts an RCA source and a balanced 3-pin XLR source.
