The FORUS CENTER is the centre speaker in Argon Audio's FORUS series, designed to reproduce film and series dialogue clearly. It completes a system with FORUS speakers and MALMÖ subwoofers, sharing their sound signature and design. It connects to the centre channel output of an AV receiver.
Two 4-inch paper cone woofers flank a 0.75-inch soft dome tweeter fitted with a neodymium magnet. The crossover splits the signal at 3000 Hz. Frequency response runs from 70 Hz to 20 kHz, with 86 dB sensitivity into 4 ohms.
At 43 cm wide, 13.9 cm high and 16.1 cm deep, and weighing 4.25 kg, it fits into most TV furniture. It sits below or above the screen and can stay close to the wall as long as its front is unobstructed. Rubber feet are supplied.
The FORUS CENTER comes in black, white and walnut, three PVC finishes over an MDF cabinet, like the rest of the series. The lacquered front panel takes a magnetically attached front grille. The subwoofer connects to the AV receiver, which sends it the low-frequency effects.
