Walnut-finish subwoofer with fabric grille on a wooden floor next to a cabinet

Compact living-room format

At 30 cm high, 27 cm wide and 28.5 cm deep, MALMÖ SUB 8 slips easily beside a piece of furniture or into a corner. Its MDF cabinet comes in black, white or walnut finish with a PVC wrap. Its clean lines match Argon Audio's FORUS speaker series.

8-inch long-stroke driver

The 8-inch long-stroke driver is powered by a 100 W RMS amplifier with 200 W peaks. Quoted frequency response covers 42 to 180 Hz. Paired with small speakers, it supplies the weight they lack for music, films and games.

Controls within easy reach

The rear panel groups the volume control, the 40 to 120 Hz crossover and the phase control. These three settings let the bass join the main speakers without a noticeable hand-over. Switching on and standby are automatic, with less than 0.5 W drawn in standby.

Simple RCA connection

MALMÖ SUB 8 connects to an amplifier or a pair of active speakers through its analogue RCA input. The connecting cable is not included and must be bought separately. The subwoofer weighs 9.6 kg and ships with its power supply.
