Pair of KEF LS50 Wireless II active bookshelf speakers with Uni-Q and Metamaterial Absorption Technology. HDMI eARC, Wi-Fi, AirPlay 2, Google Cast, Roon Ready and Bluetooth 5.0.

The LS50 Wireless II fits the complete amplification into a 305 × 200 × 311 mm cabinet per speaker: 280 W of class D for the bass, 100 W of class AB for the treble. The DAC, the streamer and the preamplifier are built in. Only the sources remain to be plugged in.
The 25 mm vented tweeter sits at the centre of the 130 mm aluminium cone. Behind it, Metamaterial Absorption Technology absorbs the rear waves inside a dedicated maze. The result can be measured: 45 Hz – 28 kHz at ±3 dB, and 108 dB of maximum level at 1 m.
The television connects over HDMI eARC, the disc player over coaxial or optical, an analogue source on the 3.5 mm jack. Over the network, the speaker reads up to 24 bit/384 kHz and decodes MQA and DSD. The RCA output feeds a subwoofer if the room calls for one.
Dual-band Wi-Fi, AirPlay 2, Google Cast, Roon Ready, UPnP and Bluetooth 5.0 cover wireless playback. Spotify Connect, Tidal Connect, Amazon Music, Qobuz and Deezer are controlled natively. Home automation integration runs from Elan to Control4, by way of Crestron Home and Savant.
