Engineered listening height

KEF's UK engineering team set the height of the S-RF1. With a Reference 1 Meta on the top plate, its Uni-Q array sits at exactly the same height as the one on the floorstanding models in the range. In a home cinema layout the front channels therefore project their sound image on a single plane.

Fillable aluminium pillar

The structure is aluminium, and that is what gives the stand its rigidity and stability. The pillar is hollow and takes an inert filler, which lowers the centre of gravity and adds further stability. Spike discs come with it to protect wooden floors. Each stand weighs 7.95 kg empty.

Cable hidden inside the pillar

The mounting system includes speaker cable management. The wire runs down inside the pillar, from the top plate to the plinth, and no longer shows between speaker and floor. The plinth measures 260 mm wide by 387 mm deep, and the stand reaches 542 mm tall with it.

Two matching finishes

The S-RF1 picks up the visual language of the Reference 1 Meta, down to the metallic deco panel on the pillar. It comes in Carbon Black and Mineral White, the two finishes chosen for the Reference range. Speakers are not supplied with the stand.
