Transrotor MAX set up for a twelve-inch arm

Twelve inches on the Max

This Max is set up for a twelve-inch arm. A longer arm cuts tracking error: the angle between cartridge and groove strays less from the tangent across the whole side. The arm base sits accordingly; everything else is the nine-inch Max.

External motor linked to the platter by the belt

The motor off the chassis

The motor stands apart and meets the platter only through the belt. Its vibration has no solid path up to the cartridge. Transrotor builds this way across the range, from the Max to the Artus.

Aluminium and acrylic platter with record clamp

Aluminium and acrylic

Hand-polished solid aluminium chassis, aluminium-and-acrylic platter, aluminium record clamp. The platter's two materials do not resonate at the same frequencies, which keeps energy from building up in it. The finish is the range's light version.

Location for a second arm base

Two arms if needed

A second arm base can be added, letting two arms sit on the same deck. The point is practical: a mono and a stereo cartridge, or two cartridges of different character, with nothing to unmount between records. The Max ships without arm or cartridge, to be configured with us.
