The body is machined in a single piece of aluminum alloy 7000, chosen for its damping power. The ultralight aluminum cantilever is inserted directly into the body, which spreads the spurious vibrations before they reach the reel. The Vasari weighs 9.5 g in Gold and Shibata versions, 7 g in red version.
The Red receives a conical diamond, the Gold an elliptical and the shibata a shibata size of 3.5 × 20 μm. The latter multiplies the contact surface with the furrow while reducing the pressure exerted on the vinyl. The separation of channels is progressing accordingly, 20 dB on the Red to more than 25 dB on the shibata.
The three versions deliver 4 mV, a level that accommodates any phono mm input without further preamplification. The recommended load is 47 kΩ, standard value on almost all Phono preamps. The impedance drops to 500 Ω on the shibata against 1000 Ω on the other two.
The Vasari Shibata covers 10 to 30,000 Hz, Gold and Red 15 to 25,000 Hz. The recommended support force is 2 g on the three versions. The red body is made of red logo photopolymer resin, those of the Gold and Shibata in Duralumin.
