The lower base borrows its shape with the catenary curve, a geometry that distributes the constraints without adding a mass. It is proposed in massive walnut or black lacquered MDF, hand-shaped by Italian craftsmen. Each piece of wood is selected individually before machining.
The upper base is a 20 mm black lacquered MDF doubled with 3 mm stainless steel plate. This superposition of materials to different behaviors breaks the resonances rather than uniformly cushioning them. The background noise goes down to -77 dB.
The pivot system is machined with a very small tolerance to limit friction in operation. The hardened steel axis mates with a 5 mm chromed steel bearing ball. The 23 mm tray is cushioned poly-vinyl, locked by the SPLIT-SPINDLE system.
The 12V synchronous motor control and the Pianosa materials are directly resumed from the top of the Gold Note range. The rectified 70 shore NBR belt and electronic control bring 0.1% crying. The PST-10 external power supply and the B-7 Ceramic arm are evolving.
