The SL puts out 0.5 mV at 1 kHz with a 30 ohm coil. That level calls for an MC phono stage or a step-up transformer, loaded from 400 ohms. In return, the low-impedance coil keeps the noise floor very low. Tracking force is set at 2 grams.

Nude Shibata diamond

The nude Shibata diamond sits on an aluminium cantilever. It covers 15 Hz to 32 kHz, with 28 dB of channel separation and channel balance within 1.5 dB at 1 kHz. The black body weighs 5 grams, light enough for low-mass tonearms to balance without added weight.
