Open-back planar magnetic headphone Audeze LCD-4z. Easy-to-drive 15-ohm coil, even from a smartphone.
The LCD-4z uses a 15-ohm coil specially designed to stay easy to drive: a laptop, a high-resolution player or a smartphone is enough to power it, without a dedicated headphone amplifier. The magnesium housing, resistant to resonance, stays light despite its open-back, over-ear size.
The dual-magnet Fluxor structure, combined with N50 neodymium magnets, drives a 106 mm planar magnetic transducer. Audeze's Fazor technology corrects phase response and widens the frequency range to 5 Hz to 50 kHz, with distortion below 0.1% at 100 dB.
Maximum SPL exceeds 130 dB.
The LCD-4z is supplied with a premium 1.9-metre cable with a 4-pin mini-XLR to 6.3 mm jack connector, a padded weatherproof case for transport and storage, and a certificate of authenticity. Audeze covers the LCD-4z with a 3-year warranty.
