Each earpiece carries a 14.5 millimetre planar driver developed by FiiO. Its ultra-thin diaphragm takes a patented titanium-aluminium coating, and N52 neodymium magnets drive its movement. A duct FiiO calls Tesla-Valve works the bass.
The supplied cable ends in a USB-C plug and carries its own decoding chip, up to 384 kHz at 24-bit. It therefore does away with any adapter on a phone without a headphone socket. An in-line microphone and remote let you take a call.
Impedance settles at 32 ohms at 1 kHz for a sensitivity of 105 dB per milliwatt, and the passband runs from 10 Hz to 40 kHz. Each earpiece weighs 6.5 grams. An eight-band equaliser is set from the FiiO Control app on Android.
The faceplates are rosewood or walnut, both real timbers. The cable detaches on 0.78 mm two-pin connectors and gathers 392 silver-plated copper strands over 1.2 metres. The box holds six pairs of tips and an HB11 case.
