The FiiO JD1 TC is a wired USB-C in-ear monitor with a 10 mm LCP dynamic driver, a built-in 96 kHz/24 bit DSP, a microphone and 5 sound presets.
The FiiO JD1 TC is an entry-level wired in-ear monitor with a USB Type-C connector, the result of the FiiO x JadeAudio collaboration. It has a 10 mm dynamic driver with a liquid crystal polymer (LCP) diaphragm, light and rigid, along with asymmetric internal and external magnetic circuits for generous bass, detailed treble and good transients.
Unlike the 3.5 mm JD1, the JD1 TC builds a DSP decoding chip into its USB Type-C connector, supporting high-resolution audio up to 96 kHz/24 bit. An inline remote with microphone and five sound presets (default, bass, treble, vocal and Harman reference) let you adjust the sound at the press of a button. The JD1 TC works plug and play with iOS, Android, Windows and macOS.
The JD1 TC faceplate is made of die-cast zinc alloy, then hand-polished, for a refined finish and a premium feel rare at this price. The durable aluminium alloy nozzle delivers every sound wave faithfully to the ear. Its ergonomic triangular shape and weight of 7 g per earphone ensure stability and comfort.
The JD1 TC has a detachable cable with 0.78 mm 2-pin connectors, ending in a USB Type-C connector with built-in DSP, about 1.2 m long. Hi-Res Audio certified by the JAS and the CEA, it covers a response from 20 Hz to 40 kHz and uses balanced front/rear pressure relief for freer bass and comfortable listening. Available in obsidian black.
