The FiiO FF1 in black is a wired open earbud with a 14.2 mm beryllium-plated diaphragm dynamic driver, a microphone and a detachable 0.78 mm 2-pin cable.

The FiiO FF1 is a wired open-style earbud fitted with a large second-generation 14.2 mm dynamic driver. Its beryllium-plated diaphragm, paired with a polyurethane surround, stays rigid and light. Measured distortion remains below 0.2 % at 94 dB across the 150 Hz to 20 kHz range, for clean transients and robust bass.
Designed for long listening sessions, the FF1 adopts an open fit and a shell whose diameter at the point of contact with the ear has been brought down from 16.5 to 16.2 mm. Each earbud weighs only around 3.2 g and does not stand out beyond the outer ear, which keeps it discreet even when lying on one side. Non-slip rings and silicone hooks are supplied for the hold.
A concealed acoustic resistance tube runs from the top of the FF1 stem to its back. This duct regulates the flow of air, lowers the resonant frequency of the shell and limits the loss of bass. Worn open, the effective response reaches down to 38 Hz. Two types of foam are supplied to adjust the balance, from firmer bass to more forward voices.
The FF1 receives a detachable oxygen-free copper cable on 0.78 mm 2-pin connectors, around 1.2 m long, terminated by a 3.5 mm single-ended jack. An in-line microphone with controls takes calls and drives playback. A tactile marker on the left connector helps tell the two channels of the cable apart.
