Network player, DAC and CD

This bundle pairs the DMP-A8 Master Gen 2 with the AMP-F8 amplifier. The source alone brings together a network player, a converter, an analogue preamplifier stage and a top-loading CD transport, able both to play discs and to rip them to its internal storage. The amplifier handles the rest.

OCXO clock and external reference

The Master Gen 2 differs from the DMP-A8 Gen 2 through its very low phase-noise OCXO clock and its 10 MHz BNC input, which hands the time reference over to an external master clock. Its inputs and outputs are fully galvanically isolated, which breaks earth loops with the amplifier.

AMP-F8 power

The AMP-F8 delivers 180 W RMS per channel into 8 ohms and 280 W into 4 ohms, in class AB. Its linear 800 W toroidal supply feeds both channels independently. The damping factor exceeds 400, and two analogue VU meters follow the level in real time.

What the bundle holds

The bundle contains both complete units, each in its original carton with its remote and mains cable. They connect over balanced XLR or RCA, and the 12 V trigger synchronises power-up. Delivered as two parcels, 27 kg in total.
