Cambridge Audio L/R X stereo active speakers, 2 x 400 W with two 5-inch woofers and two 6-inch passive radiators. StreamMagic Gen 4, HDMI eARC, MM phono and six finishes, sold as a pair.
The L/R X is Cambridge Audio's most capable active pair. Amplification, settings and signal processing sit inside each cabinet, so no separate amplifier is needed. Each speaker measures 20 x 33 x 26 cm and weighs 10.4 kg. The main and secondary speakers connect with the supplied 5 m USB-C cable, or wirelessly over WiSA HT.
The rear panel brings together an HDMI eARC input for the television, an RCA MM phono input for the turntable, an RCA Aux input, a TOSLINK optical input, a USB-C audio input and a USB-A media port. An RCA subwoofer output lets you add a subwoofer. A Bluetooth LE remote control comes with the pair.
The 28 mm double-radius aluminium dome tweeter is mounted with a dedicated rear chamber. It is paired with a 5-inch woofer on the front and a second, hidden 5-inch woofer facing downwards. Two 6-inch passive radiators on the sides go down to 35 Hz, over a response of 35 Hz to 24 kHz at plus or minus 3 dB. 64-bit DSP processing and DynamEQ technology keep the balance at low volume.
The StreamMagic Gen 4 module streams Spotify Connect, Tidal Connect, Amazon Music, Qobuz Connect, Roon Ready, AirPlay 2, Google Cast and UPnP, over dual-band Wi-Fi 5 or Ethernet. Bluetooth accepts SBC and AAC. Three modes, Normal, Movie and Voice, are set in the app. The L/R X comes in black, white, blue, green, orange and walnut, with a floating base and LED lighting. It is sold as a pair.
