Three-wood cabinet, three wood species

The RS1 features a cabinet constructed from three types of wood: cocobolo for acoustic density, hemp for damping, and maple for structural stability. Each wood type contributes distinct properties that combine to deliver a controlled sound. The grain pattern of each cabinet is unique.

50 mm X2 driver, 12–30 kHz

The RS1’s 50 mm X2 driver features a Mylar diaphragm, copper voice coil, and rare-earth magnetic circuit. Frequency response from 12 Hz to 30 kHz, sensitivity of 99.8 dB/mW at 38 Ω. The drivers are matched to within 0.05 dB.

L Ear Pads, Gold Headband

The RS1 is equipped with L-series ear pads from Grado, which enhance the focused soundstage. The Signature Gold headband features engraved gimbals, stainless steel rods, and reinforced blocks. The stitched white leather is the visual signature of the high-end Classic series.

Silver Cable, Brooklyn Assembly

The RS1 comes with the lightweight and flexible Signature Silver cable, terminated with a 6.35 mm plug. The 38 Ω impedance is compatible with standard headphone amplifiers. Hand-assembled in Grado’s Brooklyn workshops.
