The LCD-3 Zebrano is an open-back circumaural planar magnetostatic headphone, with Zebrano wood earcups. With a 110-ohm impedance and 101 dB/1 mW sensitivity at the eardrum reference point, it aims for critical listening in the studio as well as at home.
The LCD-3 has N50 neodymium magnets in a proprietary magnetic structure, with an ultra-thin diaphragm and a Fazor waveguide for phase management. Frequency response spans 10 Hz to 50 kHz, with total harmonic distortion below 0.1% at 100 dB and a maximum sound pressure level above 130 dB.
The suspended headband and leather ear pads spread the pressure across the head for long listening sessions. The headphones weigh 635 grams and accept power up to 5 W RMS. Audeze requires at least 100 mW and recommends more than 250 mW.
The LCD-3 Zebrano is supplied in a rigid Audeze-branded carrying case, with a cable fitted with 4-pin mini XLR plugs on each earcup. A 4-pin XLR to 6.35 mm adapter and a certificate of authenticity are included.
