Open-back Leather Black headphones

The LCD-X is an open-back magnetostatic headphone, finished here in Leather Black. It suits portable listening as well as studio monitoring or living-room hi-fi. With a 20 ohm impedance and 103 dB/mW sensitivity, it runs directly from most headphone outputs.

Ultra-Thin Uniforce diaphragms

The Ultra-Thin Uniforce diaphragms and Fazor waveguides, developed by Audeze, correct phase response and widen the frequency range. Paired with neodymium magnets, they cover 10 Hz to 50 kHz with total harmonic distortion below 0.1% at 100 dB. Power handling reaches 5 W RMS, for a sound pressure level above 130 dB.

Comfort and suspended headband

The suspended steel-and-leather headband spreads the weight across the head, complemented by angled-cut lambskin earpads. The headphone weighs 612 grams and uses an open-back design, suited to long listening sessions without fatigue. A 4-pin mini XLR connector fits each earcup for balanced wiring.

XLR cable and accessories

The 1.9-metre braided cable ends in a 4-pin XLR connector, supplied with an XLR-to-6.35 mm jack adapter. A rigid carrying case travels with the LCD-X between studio and home. A certificate of authenticity from Audeze is included with the LCD-X.
