Wireless gaming headset for Xbox with 100 mm planar magnetic driver, low-latency 2.4 GHz link, removable broadcast microphone, 15h battery life.

The Penrose X reuses Audeze's 100 mm planar magnetic driver, with an N50 neodymium Fluxor magnet array and Fazor phase management, in a headset designed for Xbox One, Xbox Series X|S, PC and Mac. The ultra-thin Uniforce diaphragm handles a maximum sound pressure level above 120 dB with distortion under 0.1% at 1 kHz. Frequency response spans 10 Hz to 50 kHz.
The detachable microphone, calibrated for broadcast, comes off for music-only use. The memory-foam earcups, covered in synthetic leather, isolate the ear from ambient noise. The padded headband adjusts in size to fit the player's head.
The included 2.4 GHz USB dongle plugs into the console or PC and delivers sound at 16-bit/48 kHz with low latency. Bluetooth 5.0 stays active at the same time to pair a second device, such as a phone for voice chat. An analog 3.5 mm jack provides a wired connection even with a dead battery, and the USB-C port handles charging and firmware updates.
The lithium-polymer battery lasts 15 hours of continuous listening and recharges in 4 to 5 hours via USB-C, enough to cover a long session without worrying about a cutout at the worst moment. The padded, adjustable headband spreads the headset's 320 g across the top of the head rather than the temples.
