Metamaterial absorption

The tweeter radiates as much backwards as forwards. Behind it, a metamaterial disc pierced with channels of differing lengths traps that rear wave and dissipates it as heat: 99% of the high-frequency energy never comes back to the cone. What is left is the signal.

Dolby Atmos effect

The Q8 does not play the music, it places what comes from above: rain, helicopter, room reverberation. Its bass deliberately stops at 96 Hz at −6 dB — everything below that belongs to the main speakers and to the subwoofer. The single crossover falls at 2.7 kHz.

176 × 180 × 259 mm for 4.5 kg: the Q8 sits on top of a floorstanding speaker or fixes to the wall without reinforcement. The sealed loading avoids a port blowing against the ceiling or the shelf that carries it. 10 to 150 W are enough.

Three finishes

Satin black, satin white, walnut: the Q8 matches the rest of the Q range, which counts for a speaker seen up high. The 86 dB sensitivity aligns it with the Q1 and the Q4, so the level stays consistent in a mixed system. Impedance drops to 3.2 Ω at minimum.
