KEF XIO soundbar with twelve drivers, delivering up to 5.1.2 channels with Dolby Atmos and DTS:X. Uni-Q MX acoustics, HDMI 2.1 eARC and built-in network streaming.

The XIO delivers up to 5.1.2 channels from a single bar, with no rear speakers and no separate subwoofer. Three Uni-Q MX drivers and two full-range drivers carry the left, centre, right and both surround channels, while two further Uni-Q MX drivers fire the vertical channels at the ceiling. Frequency response reaches down to 34 Hz and maximum level is 102 dB at one metre.
Bass is handled by four 50 x 180 mm P185 transducers backed by VECO technology, which controls cone excursion. Twelve Class D amplifier stages drive the array: eight for the mid-treble channels, four for the bass channels. The Music Integrity Engine distributes the channels and handles equalisation, and IPT adapts the sound to the room automatically.
The rear panel gathers an HDMI 2.1 eARC input, a TOSLINK optical input, an RJ45 Ethernet port and a USB Type-C socket reserved for servicing. On the wireless side the bar carries Bluetooth 5.3 and tri-band IEEE 802.11ax Wi-Fi on 2.4 / 5 / 6 GHz. Supported resolutions run to 384 kHz/24 bit over the network, 192 kHz/24 bit over HDMI eARC and 96 kHz/24 bit over optical.
The aluminium top panel carries touch controls for power, volume, mute and source selection. The grille is covered in a splash-resistant fabric, offered in Slate Black and Silver Grey. AirPlay, Google Cast, UPnP and the KEF Connect app open access to Spotify Connect, TIDAL Connect, Qobuz, Deezer, Amazon Music and HIGHRESAUDIO. Dialogue and Night modes plus an infrared remote with a Favourite button round out day-to-day operation.
