The R1 Mk4 receives DAB/DAB+ and FM with RDS, from 76.0 to 108 MHz, with eight presets per mode and a telescopic aerial on a 75 Ω F socket. A single Ruark NS+ 75 mm full-range speaker covers 55 Hz to 20 kHz, a typical in-room figure, driven by a Class AB amplifier rated at 9 W in a bass-reflex cabinet. Bluetooth 4.2 receives in SBC and AAC, a stereo line input and a headphone output in 3.5 mm jack complete the connections, and the USB-C port, 5 V 1 A, handles charging and shuffled MP3 playback. The OLED display adjusts its brightness automatically, two daily alarms can be set with snooze and sleep functions, the real-time clock keeps the time thanks to an internal backup battery, and the menu comes in 14 languages, including French.
