The iO3 is 20.6 cm tall, 16 cm wide and 18.8 cm deep, and weighs 1.8 kg. Inspired by the Baltic, it takes over their coaxial coincidence principle in a much smaller volume. The spherical subwoofer seen in this photo is a The Pearl Sub, sold separately.
The two-way coaxial driver combines a 13 cm mid-bass with a Duocell cone and a 2.7 cm Kaladex dome tweeter. Both radiate from the same point, following Cabasse's SCS principle. The crossover sits at 2,700 Hz and the frequency response runs from 150 to 22,000 Hz.
Sensitivity reaches 93 dB for 1 W at 1 m, which leaves a modest power amplifier enough headroom. Nominal impedance is 8 ohms, with a minimum of 3.8 ohms. The satellite takes 80 W rated and 580 W peak.
This version stands on furniture with its base or mounts on the wall. Two matt finishes are available, black lacquer and white lacquer. A dedicated column stand is sold separately in the Cabasse range.
