The tweeter radiates as much backwards as forwards. Behind it, a metamaterial disc pierced with channels of differing lengths traps that rear wave and dissipates it as heat: 99% of the high-frequency energy never comes back to the cone. What is left is the signal.
950 mm tall for 210 mm wide: the Q7 holds the place of a floorstanding speaker without taking up its width. The crossovers at 440 Hz and 2.3 kHz share the work between three ways. The bass reaches down to 39 Hz at −6 dB.
87 dB of sensitivity and 110 dB of maximum output: the Q7 fills a room where the Q3 would fall short. It calls for 15 to 200 W into 4 Ω, minimum 3.2 Ω. The efficiency comes from cone area, not from a crossover trick.
18.4 kg planted on the floor: the Q7 does not move when the bass works, which counts more than it seems on a slim floorstanding speaker. It measures 315 mm deep, to be allowed for in front of the wall. Three finishes: satin black, satin white, walnut.
