The DHT-S416 has Google Chromecast built in. A compatible app on your phone sends music to the bar over the Wi-Fi network, without going through the TV. Bluetooth remains available for devices without Chromecast.
The supplied subwoofer links to the bar without an audio cable. At 171 × 342 × 318 mm and 5.2 kg, it can go wherever suits, next to the sofa or the TV unit. The 900 mm bar, 54 mm tall, stays slim beneath the screen.
The Denon Dialog Enhancer brings voices forward over music and effects. Pure mode switches off the processing for direct music listening, alongside the music and movie modes. Night mode keeps the level moderate late in the evening.
The HDMI ARC input takes the sound from the TV, and the bar can learn the codes of the TV remote. An optical input and a 3.5 mm mini-jack accept other sources. Dolby Digital decoding covers TV programmes and films.
