The C 359S stays with Class AB, fed by a high-current, low-noise switch-mode power supply that draws on NAD's Class D work. It delivers 2 × 70 W continuous into 8 ohms and 2 × 120 W into 4 ohms, with peak current above 20 A. Demanding speakers stay under control, with dynamics and a firm grip on the bass.
BluOS is built into the amplifier: high-resolution streaming up to 192 kHz, internet radio and services such as Qobuz, TIDAL or Spotify are controlled from the BluOS Controller app. Presets on the supplied IR remote call up favourite stations without reaching for the phone. In multi-room mode, music also reaches the other BluOS players around the home.
The HDMI eARC input connects a compatible TV directly, and Bluetooth aptX HD receives music from a phone. A turntable plugs into the MM phono stage, alongside two RCA line inputs and an optical input. Each source has its own button on the front panel, and a dedicated headphone socket handles private listening.
With a subwoofer connected to the subwoofer output, an optional high-pass filter takes the low bass away from the main speakers. Freed from that load, they work in the range they reproduce best: the stereo image sharpens and the power reserve grows. At 43.5 cm wide and 10 cm high, the unit lines up with the other components of NAD's Classic Series.
