The MAESTRO Quantum Signature starts from the MAESTRO Quantum platform, reworked with Rainer Finck: optimised key components and a completely redesigned circuit. True Fidelity mode switches off or bypasses everything that is not essential, leaving only the active source in the signal path. The PureGain digital volume control, developed by sonoro, lowers background noise by 20 dB compared with a conventional digital volume control.
The Hypex Class D power stage delivers 2 x 110 W into 8 Ω and 2 x 180 W into 4 Ω at 0.1 % distortion, for speakers from 4 to 16 Ω. Bass, treble and balance are adjustable, with presets for sonoro speakers, the Dynamic Bass function and a 2.1 mode with high-pass filter. The Dirac Live licence is included and corrects room acoustics between 20 and 500 Hz, with an optional measurement microphone.
FM, DAB+ and internet radio, podcasts, a slot-in CD player and two-way Bluetooth to headphones share the same chassis. Spotify Connect, TIDAL Connect, Qobuz Connect, Amazon Music and Deezer join Apple AirPlay, Google Cast and Roon Ready. On the connection side there is an MM phono input, optical and coaxial digital inputs and outputs, HDMI ARC with CEC, USB-A, USB-C, a pre-out and a line out.
The hand-sanded wooden housing is lacquered, and the one-piece front is laser-cut from aluminium and bears the Signature Line lettering. Buttons and knobs are solid metal, including the new volume knob with a Diamond Grip finish. The speaker terminals are identical to those on the ORCHESTRA Shaped Signature floorstanders from the same line.
