The FORUS 5 WALL is the larger on-wall model in Argon Audio's FORUS series, with a bigger woofer than the FORUS 4 WALL. It measures 42 cm high, 29.7 cm wide and only 13 cm deep, and weighs 5.65 kg. It is sold individually, so a stereo setup needs two.
A 5-inch paper cone woofer is paired with a 0.75-inch soft dome tweeter fitted with a neodymium magnet. The crossover separates them at 2700 Hz. Frequency response runs from 50 Hz to 20 kHz at ± 3 dB, with 85 dB sensitivity into 4 ohms.
The lacquered front panel takes magnetically attached front grilles. On the back, the built-in mount lets you hang it with a single screw, horizontally or vertically. It comes in black, white and walnut, PVC finishes over an MDF cabinet.
In a home cinema, the FORUS 5 WALL handles front, surround or rear channels, connected to an AV receiver. For stereo, Argon Audio recommends an amplifier of 40 to 100 W, such as its SA1 MK2 and SA2. A subwoofer connects to the amplifier to extend the bass.
