Belt Drive

An AC synchronous motor drives the platter by belt, steered by a crystal sine wave. The deck runs at 33 1/3 and 45 rpm. Speed deviation stays under 0.1 per cent and wow and flutter under 0.04 per cent.

Aluminium and Brass Platter

The outer platter is machined from aluminium over 35 centimetres of diameter. An inner brass platter adds its mass at the centre of rotation. A built-in crystal oscillator adjusts speed in steps of 0.1 per cent over a range of 1.5 per cent.

Static Balance Straight Arm

The static balance straight arm measures 223 millimetres of effective length, for an overhang of minus 17 millimetres. It takes cartridges from 13.5 to 36 grams, headshell included. Above 25 grams, an additional counterweight is needed.

Balanced and RCA Outputs

Audio output runs balanced on XLR or unbalanced on RCA. A strobe output on a 3.5 millimetre jack completes the panel. The unit draws 15 watts and measures 546 by 221 by 411 millimetres for 26.5 kilos.
