Skeletal carbon-fibre plinth, seen from above

Skeletal carbon plinth

The skeletal plinth is made of graphene-impregnated carbon fibre, around a Tancast 8 foam core. Ceramic braces stiffen it at the top and at the bottom. It rests on low-mass skeletal aluminium feet. Dust cover included, the turntable measures 420 × 115 × 350 mm for 4.65 kg.

Titanium arm, ZTA bearing

The RB Titanium arm receives a one-piece vertical bearing and a titanium vertical spindle, with a tungsten shaft and counterweight. The central bearing is made of ZTA, an alumina toughened with zirconium oxide. The ceramic platter, with controlled resonance, is driven by three Reference drive belts. The adjustable Reference power supply occupies a case of 218 × 80 × 320 mm for 3 kg.

Aphelion 2 and nude diamond

The Aphelion 2 brings together a boron rod cantilever, a nude Fine Line diamond and an anodised aluminium body selected to zero tolerance. The miniature iron cross generator, wound in 0.018 mm wire, ranks among the smallest of its kind. The cartridge weighs 6 g and is set to 1.9 g of tracking force. It accompanies the turntable without being pre-fitted to the arm.

Balanced Aura MC

The Aura MC is a three-stage phono stage of fully balanced design. It accepts low-output moving coil cartridges, with five input loadings from 50 to 400 Ω and five capacitive loadings from 1000 to 5700 pF. Its frequency response runs from 13.5 Hz to 100 kHz, for harmonic distortion of 0.03%. The unit weighs 13 kg.
