The Planar 8 platter stacks three layers of glass to behave like a flywheel. A motor turns the whole through an EBLT Reference drive belt fitted as standard. Two speeds are selectable, 33 1/3 and 45 rpm.
The Tancast 8 foam core is combined with double brace technology, which ties the arm base to the platter bearing. The RB880 precision arm completes the whole, which weighs 4.2 kg for 420 x 125 x 315 mm, dust cover in place. The Neo PSU external power supply, factory-matched, is supplied.
The Ania Pro mounts a nude diamond of Vital profile on a tapered aluminium cantilever. Its coils in 0.018 mm wire surround a miniature iron cross, facing high-power neodymium magnets. The cartridge weighs 6 g, delivers 350 µV and is set between 1.75 and 2.00 g. It is supplied with the turntable, without being pre-fitted to the arm.
The Fono MC MK4 entrusts its RIAA correction to a MUSE operational amplifier. Accuracy stays within ±0.2 dB from 100 Hz to 100 kHz, for a frequency response starting at 13 Hz. Input sensitivity is chosen between 133 and 67 µV depending on the gain selected. The case calls for 24 V AC, 150 mA at most.
