The Clear USB connects a computer or streamer to a DAC, in USB A to B, Mini B or Micro B, and other terminations are available made to order. It is optimised for a constant transfer impedance rather than for a full-wave characteristic impedance. Its four Matched Propagation conductors form an asymmetric star quad, with a twisted, shielded signal pair, under a final shield of aluminium/mylar, tinned copper and enamelled wire. According to Cardas, it stays neutral and sounds the same at any usable length.
