Fibre-optic USB link

The RSA720 connects hard drives and USB sticks to the streamer over an SFP optical link, so neither the electrical noise nor the vibration of external storage reaches the player. The HiFi ROSE RS130, fitted with a USB SFP port, connects to it with the supplied optical cable. Depending on the SFP module used, the link stretches over several hundred metres at USB 3.0 speed.

Four independent USB ports

Two USB 3.0 ports and two USB 2.0 ports, each powered at 5 V and 1 A, take drives and sticks with no driver to install. For a device without an SFP port, a side switch puts the hub into USB 3.0 Type-B mode, using the supplied cable. An amber light shows power, and a side button resets the hub.

Supplied accessories

The box contains two SFP modules, a 1 m LC optical cable, a 1 m USB 3.0 Type-B cable, the 12 V / 3 A power adapter and its cord. The casing measures 15.2 x 15.35 x 3.35 cm and weighs 1.2 kg.
