The XGIMI AURA sits a few centimetres from the wall and projects at 3840 x 2160 and 1800 ISO lumens. Laser source rated for 20,000 hours, 0.233:1 throw ratio, four 15 W Harman Kardon speakers and Android TV.

The AURA sits on a low cabinet against the wall and fills 100 inches from about twenty centimetres away. Nobody crosses the beam, no cable runs along the ceiling, and setup comes down to placing the unit and sliding it to the diagonal you want, from 80 to 150 inches.
The laser source holds 1800 ISO lumens on a 0.47-inch DLP chip at 3840 x 2160, with HDR10 and HLG decoding. Against an LED, a laser keeps its output longer and starts at full brightness with no warm-up. XGIMI rates it for 20,000 hours.
Sixty watts across four drivers tuned by Harman Kardon, with DTS-HD, DTS Studio Sound and Dolby Digital Plus decoding. The available output changes what the unit is: the AURA can stand alone in a living room with no soundbar, which an 8 W portable cannot.
Android TV runs on 2 GB of memory and 32 GB of storage, Chromecast built in. The AURA lines up three HDMI including one eARC, three USB, wired Ethernet, optical out and a 3.5 mm jack: enough for a console, a player and a set-top box without choosing. The chassis measures 140 x 606 x 401 mm for 11 kg.
