The MALC 6.0 triple-laser engine of the IRIS Ultra Max delivers 6500 ISO lumens, enough for projection in a lit room. The palette covers 110% of the BT.2020 space and JMGO quotes a colour deviation ΔE of 0.7 at most. A wall colour adaptation function detects the wall tint and corrects the picture to keep hues consistent.
Native contrast reaches 10 000:1. Two irises work in series, one in the lens and one in the laser combining path, with 6 and 9 blades and an aperture from F2.0 to F7.0. In addition, AI Dynamic Black Level analyses each scene in real time, lowers laser power in dark areas and keeps shadow detail.
Two Texas Instruments DLPC8545 chips hold the signal at 4K and 120 Hz from input to image. Both HDMI 2.1 ports accept this format, with VRR, ALLM and 1 ms input latency for a PS5, an Xbox Series X or a gaming PC. MEMC processing also runs at 120 Hz, and the faster cycling between laser colours reduces the rainbow effect without adding noise. HDMI also supports eARC, to send sound to a soundbar or a home cinema amplifier.
The optical zoom covers a throw ratio of 0.88 to 1.7:1, for an image from 40 to 300 inches. Lens shift moves the image by ±130% vertically and ±53% horizontally with no digital keystone, so with no loss of resolution or brightness. The motorised AI Gimbal turns the 7 kg projector, frames the image on the detected screen and remembers the positions for each wall.
