Switched off, the screen does not go black: it shows a work of art. The Samsung Art Store draws on the collections of established galleries and puts more than 370 free artworks within reach each year, to which Art Store Streams adds a monthly selection of 30 pieces. A brightness sensor reads the ambient light and adjusts brightness and colour to hold the artwork's original look.
The edge of the panel takes magnetic bezels that clip onto the sides of the television. Several colours are offered, to match the wall or the artwork on display. The bezels are sold separately and fit without tools.
Without its stand the chassis measures 24.9 mm deep. The Slim Fit wall mount, supplied, holds it flush to the wall so it reads as a hung picture. Connections move to the One Connect box (Y24 4K): four HDMI, one of them taking 4K at 144 Hz, two USB-A, one USB-C, eARC and an Ethernet socket. The cabinet below the screen stays clear.
The supplied stand adjusts in height to clear room for a soundbar under the screen. Set up, the whole measures 145.7 cm wide by 86.9 cm high for 22.8 kg, and takes a VESA 400 x 300 mount. Inside, the NQ4 AI Gen2 processor drives 4K upscaling and a 2.0.2 audio system of 40 W with Dolby Atmos and Q-Symphony.
