The Tuner Box S2 is a micro-sized FM tuner housed in an aluminium case in the S2 design. It covers the band from 87.5 to 108 MHz in 50 kHz steps and stores 99 stations. Tuning is manual or automatic, with adaptive noise reduction. The dot-matrix display shows frequency, preset number, stereo or mono reception and signal strength.
On the back, the 75-ohm coaxial antenna input sits next to a pair of 0.775 Vrms RCA outputs. The trigger input and output make it possible, for example, to switch the tuner on and off remotely from a Pre Box S2 Analogue. The case measures 10.3 cm wide, 3.7 cm high and 11.2 cm deep, weighs 315 g and runs on a 5 V / 1 A DC outboard power supply.
