The K19 carries two ESS ES9039SPRO chips with 4th-generation HyperStream architecture, one devoted to the left channel, the other to the right. This configuration renders a wide dynamic range with a very low noise floor. Decoding covers PCM up to 768 kHz/32-bit, native DSD512 and MQA.

A high-precision 31-band parametric equaliser acts directly on PCM signals from 44.1 to 192 kHz, with no sample rate conversion. Each band is set from +12 to −24 dB, with an adjustable Q factor. PEQ profiles can be imported, exported and shared from the FiiO Control app on Windows and Mac.

For the first time on a FiiO desktop unit, the K19 takes in HDMI inputs and outputs along with the ARC function. HDMI decoding accepts up to 192 kHz/24-bit, while ARC handles 44.1 and 48 kHz streams from a television. The unit therefore connects straight to an audio-visual system.

The headphone stage gathers eight THX AAA 788+ modules in parallel for fully balanced amplification across four channels. Power reaches 8000 mW + 8000 mW into 32 Ω, enough to feed demanding headphones. The 6.35 mm, 4.4 mm and XLR-4 outputs sit alongside RCA and XLR-3 line outputs for slotting the K19 into a hi-fi system. The die-cast one-piece aluminium chassis measures 25 cm wide for 1.8 kg.
